Biography: Now in his twenty-second year in education, Lenny Kellogg taught for 15 years
in the Sheridan, Colorado school system, team teaching grades 5-12. He expanded the program from 3 bands to 6, coached groups
that consistently earned superior ratings at festivals, won a few state marching titles and competed at the BOA Grand National
Marching competition. In 1999 he divorced his job at Sheridan, married a former band parent, his darling wife Kathleen,
and returned home to Loveland to be only the second band director in Conrad Ball Middle Schools 30-year history. During
his tenure at CBMS, he has co-produced the Loveland Middle School Band Festival and has re-introduced and coordinates the
Loveland Summer Music Program. On the side, he still plays a little bit of trombone with the Blu Jazz band, A Touch of Brass
Quintet and the Boulder Friends of Jazz. He continues to collect vintage jazz recordings and maintains and drives his
fleet of old Fords.
