Biography: I sing with a group called "Pearlessence". We are an all female,
musical trio featuring piano and vocals. Pearlessence performs an eclectic mix of the favorite standards from the 1920's
through today. We perform everything from Gershwin, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Broadway Hits, early rock
and roll, and Country Swing, with a blend of vocal harmony and at the same time highlighting the individual syles and sounds
of each of the three performers.
Our pianist, Carolyn Kibler, is a classically trained artist who has two master's degrees,
one in organ and one in piano, from Union Seminary and Andrew's University respectively. She has had an acclaimed career as
a Director of Music for churches and schools and as an accompanist for many groups. She was the principal pianist for the
SW Michigan Symphony Orchestra for many years and has performed with John Rutter.
Sydney Pierce, is a graduate from UNC with a degree in Education. She has sung since her teens
and has performed for numerous private engagements, has been a principal performer with community theater, and has sung professionally
as the featured soloist with a dance band, and a country western band which performed for years in the Garden of the Gods,
in Colorado Springs. She teaches voice to many private students, and now sings with the Fort Collins Women's Choral Group,
and is a featured soloist with this group.
Mary Vallei began college with a voice scholarship, but graduated with degrees
in English Literature and Secondary Education. Mary has been a principal performer with community theater groups and has sung
as a choral member and soloist with the Chorus of Santa Fe, and the celebrated Paul Hill chorale in Washington D.C. While
with the Paul Hill Chorale, Mary performed at the Kennedy Center under the direction of Loren Mazel.
Education/Experience: Pearlessence has been singing together for two years. We sing at
fundraisers, charity events, private functions, special events, restaurants, country clubs, and retirement communtities
in the Northern Colorado area.
