Brass Instructor Wanted
Job Description: Contract/hourly
- Private instruction
Qualifications: BA in music related degree or have completed 2nd year of BA.
Minimum two years private teaching experience. Must enjoy children as well as adults. All ages (within reason ofcourse), all
levels and various styles.
Flexible hours
MUST be able to teach all brass instruments at an introductory level AND have
access to various brass instruments.
We are looking for someone who will be with us at least two years, the job
is year round.

Organist/Pianist position
and Choir Director position OR Combined Position of Organist/Pianist/Choir Director.
Brief Position(s) Description.
Required time is approximately 5-6 hours per week, including one rehearsal on a week night and one Sunday morning service. Other special worship occasions such as Holy Week and Christmas Eve. Funeral and Weddings need to be played and will offer opportunity for extra income separate from contract
with church.
Requirements: BA in music or equivalent experience in church music. Familiarity
with all types of liturgical music (traditional and classic, contemporary, spirituals, etc.)
Accompanist requires skill on both pipe organ and piano and knowledge of hymns and anthems, sacred worship and liturgical
tradition. Choir Director requires knowledge of hymns and anthems, sacred worship
and liturgical tradition, and ability to conduct. The well qualified person may
be able to be both accompanist and Choir Director. Ability to work cooperatively
with worship and music committees in selection of music and worship planning.
Ability to work cooperatively with choir, church staff, and other volunteers.
